Abstract:

Tibet, known for its unique geography and diverse water resources, is a region that requires careful monitoring of its hydrological conditions and water quality. The purpose of this study is to explore the current sampling procedures and methodologies used in Tibet for monitoring water quality and to identify the major challenges faced in such monitoring efforts. The study also investigates the integration of traditional knowledge with modern scientific techniques to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of water quality monitoring in Tibet.

Introduction:

Tibet, located in the western part of China, is famous for its high-altitude environment, unique geographical features, and rich biodiversity. The region is also renowned for its numerous water bodies, including lakes, rivers, and streams, which are crucial for maintaining the balance of nature and human health. However, with the increasing population and industrialization, the demand for water resources has skyrocketed, leading to deforestation, pollution, and other anthropogenic activities that have negatively impacted the hydrological cycle and water quality of Tibet.

In response to these challenges, it is essential to implement effective monitoring procedures to assess the status of water bodies and provide timely feedback on the health of Tibet's aquatic environment. This study aims to explore the current practices and methodologies used in Tibet for monitoring water quality, as well as identify the significant obstacles hindering the efficiency of such monitoring efforts.
