We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill a job opening in Weifang Hydrological Resources Monitoring. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing essential data and insights to help us better understand and manage our water resources.
Job Title: Hydrological Resources Monitoring Specialist
Location: Weifang, Shandong Province, China

Reports To: Director of Hydrological Resources Monitoring
Job Summary:
The Hydrological Resources Monitoring Specialist is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the water resources of Weifang, Shandong Province. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and analytical skills to ensure the effective management of our water resources. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of the principles and practices of hydrological monitoring, as well as the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1、Conduct routine monitoring of surface water bodies, groundwater levels, and water quality parameters in accordance with established protocols.
2、Analyze and interpret monitoring data to identify trends and patterns in water resources, providing insights to help guide management decisions.
3、Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data collection.
4、Document and report on monitoring activities, providing detailed records of observations and analysis for review by stakeholders and management.
5、Identify and address challenges in monitoring practices, developing solutions to improve data quality and reduce errors.
6、Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of monitoring data into decision-making processes related to water resources management.
7、Represent the department at meetings and events, providing updates on monitoring activities and findings to a range of stakeholders.
8、Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director of Hydrological Resources Monitoring.
Requirements:
1、Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Hydrology, Environmental Science).
2、Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hydrological monitoring or related fields.
3、Knowledge of Chinese hydrological monitoring practices and standards.
4、Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5、Excellent communication skills, able to present complex data and analysis to a range of stakeholders effectively.
6、Experience with data management software and GIS applications for data analysis and mapping.
7、Ability to travel regularly to monitor sites in Weifang and surrounding areas, working outdoors in adverse weather conditions if necessary.
8、Interest in water resources conservation and sustainable development practices.
9、Advanced level of English proficiency for effective communication with stakeholders and in writing technical reports (TOEIC score 600 or higher).
10、Capability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the field of hydrological monitoring.
11、Ability to apply for any necessary licenses or qualifications required for the job role (e.g., Chinese language proficiency, relevant professional qualifications).
12、The candidate must be willing to relocate to Weifang, Shandong Province, China at their own cost for the position to become effective immediately upon selection for interview and acceptance of offer from the employer in line with prevailing immigration regulations in China at that time of application for a job visa (if needed). All relocation allowances will be paid directly by employer as part of the compensation package provided upon successful completion of probationary period if visa application is successful subject to employer policies on expatriate management including tax compliance with relevant Chinese tax laws where applicable). No visa sponsorship provided by employer unless candidate qualifies under Chinese Immigration regulations (e.g., holds a Chinese passport or has Chinese citizenship).
