The Hydrologic Instrument Monitoring Center, responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of water level monitoring systems, is seeking highly skilled and qualified individuals to join our team. Position Overview:

The Monitoring Analyst at the Hydrologic Instrument Monitoring Center will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of water level data, maintenance of monitoring equipment, and providing technical support to field crews. Candidates should have a strong understanding of hydrology, instrumentation, and data analysis techniques.

Requirements:

1、Education: Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree candidates will be given preference.

2、Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in water resource monitoring, instrumentation, or a related field is required. Experience with field data collection techniques and equipment is essential.

3、Skills: Candidates should have advanced knowledge of GIS and remote sensing techniques, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

4、Physical Fitness: The job requires frequent travel to remote monitoring sites, candidates should be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

5、License: Valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1、Certification: Candidates with certification in water level monitoring techniques or instrumentation will be given added advantage.

2、Language: Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish or French) would be an asset for working with multi-ethnic field crews and for communication with other monitoring centers.

3、Research Experience: Experience in conducting research in hydrology or a related field will be highly regarded.
