This paper presents an overview of the challenges facing lake monitoring and proposes strategies and recommendations for improving hydrological and climatic conditions in lakes. The analysis is based on a comprehensive review of the literature and includes case studies from around the globe. The findings suggest that effective monitoring and management of lakes require a multidisciplinary approach that integrates environmental, social, and economic factors. By implementing appropriate measures, such as improving sampling techniques, enhancing data management systems, promoting public awareness, and adopting sustainable practices, it is possible to restore and maintain the health of lake ecosystems.
